Policies

PRSA’s overarching policy is to advocate for parliaments to be elected using the gold standard electoral system, using PR-STV with a district magnitude of 5 or 7.

PR-STV is the gold standard for electoral systems.

The PRSA has adopted more specific policies for the:

  • Senate, and the
  • House of Representatives.

PRSA principles can also be applied to State, Territory and Local governments, including:

  • Legislative Councils,
  • Legislative Assemblies, and
  • Local Government Councils.
